Welcome Back Ukelin and Violin-Uke Strings!

Join me in a hearty "Welcome Back" to ukelin and violin-uke strings, unavailable for over 40 years but here today.

Old metal strings experience metal fatigue, are dead in tone and tuning becomes difficult. New strings improve your instrument's playability, tone and tuning.

Due to semi-popular demand, replacement ukelin strings are now available individually as well! (Sorry, not for Violin-Uke strings.)

Please make sure you get the right strings for your instrument. The Violin-Uke and Ukelin are different instruments. Violin-Ukes are a different size than the ukelin, and ukelin strings do not work on them. If you're not sure if you have a Ukelin or a Violin-Uke, Violin-Ukes have a decal inside the soundhole with the name "Marxochime Colony" on it.

(I know the $99.95 might seem high. But a set of mass produced Autoharp strings starts at $60. A set of Guitar Zither strings runs from $194 - $260. My price is in the middle, and it's really the fairest price I can do.)

Violin-Uke String Sets

The violin-uke is strung in a rather curious manner. You may think there are 32 strings. Sure, there are 32 strings that you can play, but every unwound string is actually doing double duty. Don't believe me? Follow a melody strings from start to finish. Start at a tuning-post, follow it to a bridge-post. Notice how the string winds around, then comes back on itself to make another melody string. Neat, right?  Likewise, on each chord the two unwound strings are really the same string. (NOTE: You might have to remove the string cover at the bottom to see what I'm talking about for the Chord Strings.)
